Have you checked your raw water strainer? The filter is likely obstructed or very full of debris which would cause this same behavior. It's a super easy fix and the first thing to check if the generator is doing an auto-shutoff after only a few minutes. Next to check is the impeller then...
I think your assessment is very accurate Frank. I was speaking to the Zeus tech from our local dealership today and his recommendation (whether Zeus or IPS) is to have the drives serviced once per year regardless of the number of hours on the engines. It seems like sounds advice to have a look...
Thank you Frank, this is really helpful. I have taken (and passed) the Washington State boating course several years ago. We've been boaters since about 2000 and I agree with what you say in regards to learning something new every time we're on the water.
I will probably do the online course...
Oh I know and I don't want to start a whole thing but trust me when I say that most of the time I've heard women referred to as "the Admiral" it hasn't been because she's considered to be knowledgeable, respected and admired. It's generally used to describe a women who might be trying to exert...
Hi Frank!
So for someone who is just wanting to expand their knowledge and experience but does not intend to use a license as a means of increasing your income, is the notion of "proportional liability" enough of a deterrent to *not* get one's captain's license?
And is it awful that part of my...
Thanks! This is the online class I had been looking into as well. I have no intention of using my captain’s license commercially either. My desire to get the license is to enhance my knowledge and increase our safety while cruising to destinations that are further than we’ve traveled in the...
How did you find that online course for your 6-pack license? I'm looking to get my license this year but in-person classes are difficult for me with my work schedule.
Thanks,
Sandy
When our boat was broken into earlier this year, these are the images that were captured by our Arlo cameras. The images were good enough to identify the suspect and he is now being prosecuted. On our next boat we will be using Arlo cameras and a wifi hotspot again.
We had this lock-box installed when we first got our boat: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07F2S2GTW/?coliid=I34BZ7FSLWWIDH&colid=2COIRSJJCQ682&psc=0&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it
This way I can give our lock-box code to any vendor who comes to service the boat. We also use an Arlo camera in the cockpit...
Depends on the body shape of your dog. We did not find the Ruffwear life vest to work for our Havanese. I sized down on the one we bought her and even with that I would pick her up from the handle and she slipped through and out of the vest. I ended up getting a different one from All The Best...
We kept this on board along with the microwave. This oven toasts as well as bakes, broils, etc. so it was very useful for making most dishes that we wanted to including a lasagna in a 10" x 10" pan! Because of the heat it generates I personally would not put it in place of the microwave.
Quick update...we ended up purchasing this Breville oven. It worked great for our 3 week trip to Desolation last summer! https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B006CVVA7I/ref=oh_aui_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Finally had a moment to take a look at this boat and....OMG. What a gorgeous boat! Definitely out of our price range but if you can do it - wow!! Love it!
