420 Sundancer 2004 engine room lift hatch is up in the open position. The magnet sensor on the transom door looks like it is connecting. What else could it be?

I have a 2004 420 Sundancer. The engine room Hatch Lift is only going up about halfway then stops. Which battery operates the Hatch Lift on the 420 Sundancer 2004?

I have a Sundancer 420, 2004 model. We were installing new hatch lift motors because the original Aculifts have failed. We put on 2 new Lenco's rated at 500 lbs each. We wer lowering the hatch for testing. About 4 inches from being complete the entire hatch fell. Luckily no one was injured...
