Cape May, NJ vs Ocean City, MD. Pros and cons...

Thani you for the feedback. We have been to Old Saybrook and Essex and will be back later in the summer. Think we want to do something different this year. That’s the reason for looking at NJ area or OC.

Cape May, NJ vs Ocean City, MD. Pros and cons...

We are looking to get away for a long weekend and want to try something different. We usually travel all over the LIS through the summer, we have trips planed to Block, New Port, MTK, Mattatuk, Old Saybrook, and a south shore trip planed too. However, next weekend we want to do something...

    Official 390DA Thread

My 340 was a faster boat. However, I was burring close to 36 to 38 GPH and going 25 knots. Now I am cruising at 21 knots (2,475 to 2,525 RPM target is 80% load) and burring 28 to 30 GPH. Also this boat is much less impacted by the wake of other boats, and given the increased size of the props...

    2005 390 W 5.9LC QSB Gearbox Running Hot

Hi, John. I will try to reach out to you tomorrow. However, I would agree, that based on the chunk of clutch in the filter, that it is time for a rebuild. My guess is that the particles took out your pump and that is the reason for low pressure. But, who knows what took the clutch out??? I...

    2005 390 W 5.9LC QSB Gearbox Running Hot

If you are having transmission issues, you do NOT need a Cummins tec, you need a transmission tech. Ultimately my issues was a bad transmission. The clutch's were shot. Best guess as to the cause of this, was that the prior owner money shifted the boat (shifted from forward to reverse at higher...

Restaurant recommendations for Sag harbor, Montauk and the Hamptons

We are in MTK alot and all good recommendations above. We stay at Gurneys too, but we are not fans of the food at Gurneys, in fact we usually walk across the street and eat at Sam's Star Island for a quick bite. Hopefully you don't need it, but Sam's also has a good ships store if needed...

    Jones Inlet

Kevin I winter stored in Freeport and went out of Jones last month. At high tide I did NOT see anything less than 8 feet (from the transducer). The cans are out and now mostly on the south side... at one point almost at the end of the west jetty, you need to make a hard turn to the west b/f...

    Raymarine open aray for parts.

This worked 2 seasons ago and the Raymarine display burned out. So I replaced everything with new Garmin stuff. I assume the radar works fine but rather sell it as a parts unit as I have no way to verify it’s current status. make me an order…. Otherwise I’ll put it up on eBay.

Looking For Raymarine RL80C Open Array

I have an open aray that I’m going to post up for sale as a “parts unit”. I’m selling as a parts unit b/c I haven’t turned it in in 2 seasons and don’t have a display to verify it’s current state. Although it should work fine when plugged in. If this is the unit you need and your near Long...
