    2009 Charleston Rendezvous

Hey everyone - Just wanted to say happy cruizin'. I have been keeping up with the thread - I guess Nita and I will attend vicariously through all of you. We look forward to the pictures.

Any cruizin' plans for 'down south'?

Sadler, nickysc, Sweet Dreams, et al - Much to our disappointment Nita and myself won't be able to make it this year after all. She suffered a heart attack last week which resulted in the placement of a stent and will require several weeks of recovery. I'm sure you understand that I do not...

    Looking for Sea Ray emblem.

I am looking for a set of 13" Sea Ray emblems for a 1990 250 DA. They carry Sea Ray Part # 211607, are chrome plated and are referred to as Wave Emblems. If anyone knows where I might find a set please let me know. Thanks.

Any cruizin' plans for 'down south'?

Sadler - That would be us. It would be good to know beforehand where we are thinking of anchoring up. If you have the time please forward us that information also. Thank you.

Sorry folks - been gone for a few days. North works fine for us Sadler, whatever is good for everyone else.

Any cruizin' plans for 'down south'?

Sadler - I found the article that I mentioned earlier but I can't get to it online. I scanned the diagram so I can send it to you if you want. Just let me know where to send it. The gist of the diagram is this: 1) largest boat sets his anchor then places a fender on each side fore and aft...

Any cruizin' plans for 'down south'?

Sadler - A couple of issues back Boating magazine had a diagram on anchor placement for rafting 5 to 7 boats together. Let me find that article and I'll get back with you tonight. Islandhopper00 - I think I can probably find the ferry crossing and meet you there if that is the way...

Any cruizin' plans for 'down south'?

Since it would appear that no one has a problem with non-Sea Rays coming along, my daughter and son-in-law would like to make this trip with us in their Crownline cuddy. Is this agreeable to everyone?

Any cruizin' plans for 'down south'?

Sadler and All: Option 1 (the marina) sounds good for Friday night but we could do whatever the rest of the group wants. As I said at the outset, we are still relatively new to this having only owned 'The Lady' for two years now, so we're just looking to fit in and learn from those more...

Is you spouse capable of driving your boat?

I agree, completely. In an emergency I don't think that age would count for much, but ability certainly would. And, yes, my wife is quite adept at running our 'dancer, but a little more experience couldn't hurt either. Sounds like another summer project...

Any cruizin' plans for 'down south'?

Islandhopper00 - I wish I knew how to address you other than this, but having never met you in person I guess this will have to do. If you wanted to put in at Conway Marina your vehicle should be safe enough as the marina is only two blocks from the law inforcement center in Conway and is...

Hey Islandhopper - I hope you accept this - I'm new here (been on this site about 1 month) and am not on anyone friend list yet. Happy cruizin'...

Islandhopper00 - Sounds good. If you need any information on any of the marinas between Conway and Georgetown (there are several good ones) let me know, I'll tell you what I can.
