No algae plume

So here in the western basin of Lake Erie we made it through the boating season without a large algae plume. Not sure why I would hope it was because it was something the EPA and other pollution agencies have done but more then likely it was our spring rainy season was late in the year.What ever reason we had a less then green boating season in my neck of the woods.

The "Algal Bloom", or lack therof on Western Lake Erie was minimized by higher than
normal winds for September.

Are you old enough to remember Lake Erie in the 1970’s? It wasn’t a bloom it was the entire lake being a green frog pond. You could walk from Ohio to Ontario if you wouldn’t die from toxins half way over.
