Looking for a new marina in the Upper Bay

I currently have my 07 360 Sedan in North East, MD. We are possibly looking at changing marinas. We have to have a pool for kids. I drive from Lancaster, PA and not looking to drive another hr or two so prob looking at the sassafras river, bohemia river, Chesapeake City or Elkton area. Looking for recommendations......

I was on the North East R for a decade before deciding to move the boat further south to the areas that I wanted to boat. I looked at a few; Summit North on the Canal, Bohemia Bay Yacht Club on the Bohemia and Skipjack on the Sassafrass. I wasnt in love with any of them. They all had some plusses but none of them felt like they were that great of a marina all around. So I kept driving a little south and fell in love with Mears Great Oak on Fairlee! I cannot say how incredibly glad I am that I didn't settle any of the previously mentioned marinas in the areas that you are looking. I absolutely love Great Oak. It is a another probably 20-25 minutes from Skipjack though. I wish it were closer to me as I am not far from the Lancaster area but its not that bad of a drive considering I am at the marina for an entire weekend. If you dont want to go that far and dont find any attractive options for you and the family in the areas mentioned then there should be plenty of marinas on the Middle River that might fit your needs and be a lot closer to Lancaster.
