Plus one on the Twin Hornet, it's worked great so far on my 340 DA.

I also got this system to monitor temperature and send alerts to my phone if it drops below my selected limit.

Bilge heater is the way to go.
Look at the owner manual for the cabin heater from this link. First paragraph says it arcs and sparks and is not safe anywhere there are combustible fumes.

We have a way of doing that. I love how our group wants to flesh things out even if the PO is not involved. These threads live forever online and others look to them for answers. This is an awesome group.

This is my first year staying in the water with a 300 Sundancer in Missouri. The weather kept staying nice so I kept delaying winterizing. We were enjoying winter boating so much I installed engine room and cabin heaters. Best thing I have ever done! We are enjoying year round boating!! I live 4 hours away and monitor the boat with WiFi cameras. I have several neighbors that know how to start my generator in case of a winter power loss. If I did not have my neighbors or WiFi camera I would be a lot more scared to leave the boat with the heaters on!
 
I've been using an "Xtreme heater" for two years now in my engine compartment. Well the worth the $450 investment. My boat stays in the water winterized, shrink wrapped with a bubbler system. The Xtreme heater keeps my engine room at a pretty constant 45 deg. no matter what the outside temp is. Gives me great peace of mind and an extra level of assurance. I also use a "Temp Stick" to wirelessly monitor the temperature in the engine room with an app on my phone. Very cool stuff.

What is the lowest temp you have seen in your ER on the coldest day you experienced? I'm guessing low 40s.
