1996 SunDeck 240 Storage lid broken at the hinge

The lid for the storage cabin broke along the hinges and I can't find this part anywhere while looking online. The door is made from starboard and it has a curve in it that makes it intimidating to recreate with new Starboard. I called the local Sea Ray dealer and they referred me to a place that can recreate the object. When I called FP Marine they were not even willing to entertain the idea of reproducing since its a part no one ever needs except for me. Before I decide to purchase Starboard and give it a shot to recreate the part maybe someone here would have an idea where I might find one. Salvage yard? NOS replacement?

Try these folks https://www.boatoutfitters.com they make a lot of OEM parts and aftermarket and custom doors, tackle boxes, rod holders etc. It's worth a shot.

Another option might be to repair it - put a bigger (wider) piano hinge on that will bite into the undamaged area, then come up with some type of trim to cover the damage on the outside. Might not be perfect, but a plan B if you can get a new one.

Sorry for your part troubles, replacing custom parts on older boats can be difficult. Short of getting lucky from a used parts seller like GreatLakesSkipper, you are looking at $$$ for a custom fabrication.

Have you considered just repairing the door you have? As only the hinge side is broken, you could possibly add a stainless (or aluminum) plate to both sides and revolt the hinge. something about 2 inches wide to grab "good" part of door, while still giving something to remount the hinge. you could even paint the plate so it would blend with the door.
