This past Friday marked the end of an era for this mariner. After 20 straight years of Sea Ray ownership we have sold our last-ever Sea Ray, our beloved L650FLY. It’s been quite a ride - from a 1998 370DA to a 2003 410DA to a 2006 58DB and finally the 650.

But now it’s time for me and my first mate to move on to a post Sea Ray life. You’ll still be able to find us in our favorite anchorages and marinas from Maine to the Bahamas and beyond, but now carried by another builder’s craft.

The friends we’ve made through the online Sea Ray community, and especially those we’ve gotten to know in real life will continue to be our friends wherever the wind blows us.

This is not a good-bye, but thanks for 20 great years. See you on the water.

You have been with CSR a long, long time. You are one of the good ones. Glad it is not good-bye! Thank you for being such a great member! GOD bless. JC

Congratulations Jeff. Fran and I wish you and Mindy all the best as you move forward. Phone, email and text are the same numbers so stay in touch.

Mark, you asked in another thread, but I figured I’d answer here to keep things straight.

When we decided to sell our beloved L650FLY we spent a good deal of time looking at just about every new and used boat on the market from 60-75 feet. We finally narrowed our focus to two brands - Neptunus and Maritimo. They are both top notch in terms of build quality, engineering, Sea worthiness, and customer support. In the end, Maritimo had a slight edge for us so...

We picked up our new 2019 Maritimo M64 on Thursday 6/27 after extensive our search, sea trial, survey, equipment modification and a litany of last minute detail work. She’s got a different layout than the Sea Ray - definitely build for going to sea.

We left Fort Lauderdale on 6/28 and arrived at our marina in CT 5 days later. She seems to burn about 20% less fuel at the same speed and range is more than doubled.

We are doing a 2-week shakedown cruise beginning next week to really get to know her. More to follow.

Thank you for the update.

We love the Maritimo layout style and appearance. Docked next to one a year or so ago, visited with the owners they were extremely pleased after owning their boat a year or more.

Calm seas and good luck on the shakedown cruise.

Mark

That looks like a great boat. Really nice layout. Enjoy her.

Beautiful boat. Enjoy yourselves!!

Congrats on finding a boat you can live with or live on. Don't be a stranger to CSR and we'd love to see pics of your new ride.
