i am looking for a boat that will ride well in choppy water on the St. John’s river. Will this boat ride well or is there a better model?

I think the smaller SeaRays ride well compared to other manufacture small boats - but here is the thing, it's still a small boat. Anything over 1ft chop on a windy day or a Sunday afternoon with lots of boat wakes on LKN and my boat will take a pounding. There just is not a replacement for deadrise, length and weight on a boat. So yes, for a 19ft boat it rides pretty well. Better than the Correct Craft in your signature!

To basically mirror what Bill said previously, they are great little boats. We had an 18' Sea Ray years back & it handled well but anything under approx 21' by us gives a wet ride more often than not due to size & frequency of the waves on the bay.

What would be a good 21’ model?

There's a 205 Sport that is 21' all in. Or the 210 Signature if you wallets a little thicker. Both are still smaller day boats and anything much over a foot or two of chop is going to have you at something less than on plane.
