Official 2003.5-2008 340 Sundancer Thread

Anyone have major issues with your Cabin door jamming? Replaced the broken truck but the new one destroyed itself in one day. The door just does not feel like it is sliding like it should. Should I lubricate the bottom track with marine lubricant as a start? I will be taking pics of the top and bottom tracks and update this post over the weekend. Thanks in advance for any input.

Hey Guys,

I’m out right now and getting an alarm “shift” and my engine stays in the forward throttle position regardless if I’m in neutral or backward? Anything I can do before I attempt to park with just the one engine?

Chris
Sorry, just seeing this. Did you resolve your issue? This happened to a friend of mine and his issue was the end of the throttle cable broke. Small part, inexpensive to fix but a major issue for sure.

Looking for deck carpets for a 2007 340. Message me or reply to the post let me know if you got anything.
Thanks !

Wasn’t there a company online someone posted who had the templates? They would make brand new for 600$ or something like that

I think it was Corinthian

I bought new carpet from these folks for my past boat - Maxum 2700. They also have the templates for the 340 as I checked. Contact this person: Debra Cadwell <Debra@corinthiantextiles.com> She is very helpful. When I priced out new from them for the 340 a couple of years ago, I was quoted $799.00.

i think im going to change my filters in the cool fuel module. i looked up a how to thread on it and it was very helpful. however it seems like the part numbers have changed? anyone recently tackled this job? thanks

liv2ride100 - these are the numbers I have:
ENGINE FUEL FILTERS: GEN III 35-8M0093688
ENGINE FUEL FILTER DISC GEN III 35-892665

My local parts guy has my engine serial numbers on file, I normally just call him and tell him what I need and he does the rest.

Was cruising around my usual 3300rpms and starboard dropped to about 2200roms and then came right back no codes or alarms

I have been hunting the same issue for 2 seasons. Did injectors, fuel filters, had fuel pumps bench tested, changed plugs x2. Still there. Just changed power feed for Smartcraft to see if that helps. Next will be plug wires. I get no codes either. Usually starts after been running for a while, 30 plus minutes or so. Just narrowed a fuel pressure gauge from a friend. If starts up, will stop n see if gauge stays steady or moves during drop.

Oh crap hopefully I get my issue resolved, but my biggest concern is that it could get worse. Hopefully that doesn’t happen

I have hoping the same. You can also check your grounds on motors. Other things I was advised to check were motor grounds, 12 volt power points that come off starter and alternator. Loss of power or restricted amperage can cause the computer to do wierd stuff.
