After that winter...I really don't think we're getting the Spring '19 we deserve fellas

Can we get the thread title revised?

Just looked at the 10 day forcast for southern Lake Michigan.

7 out of 10 days are 75 and below for the high and half the day have 50% and over rain chances...

This is unreal heading into July 4th vacation weeks...

Just looked at our forecast for the weekend. I had to re-read it a few times. There is NO RAIN in the forecast for 3 straight days (including today)! This is going to be strange. Beggars can't be choosers so it stands to reason the highs are in the upper 60's...

No rain. But don't rule out snow. :)

This is the kind of weather a drop curtain is made for. That and a small ceramic heater on the floor by the helm and you are good to go. IMO it is better boating than having steamy hot weather along with wake violators buzzing by you and rolling you back and forth. Keeps the amateurs home while the good guys have fun.

Central Indiana is in no better condition. Every lake we travel to is well over summer pool. One is full and going over the spillway now. Only one beach was open for 2 days. But, the rain got ahead of it and now it is back under 6ft of water. We have taken to cheating and traveling all the way to Kentucky and Tennessee just to enjoy ourselves. It is even raining there this weekend. So, I guess we are staying home watching the rain. Hell of a year to be a boat and motorcycle owner.

Our river hasn't flooded yet but the current and debris is horrible. Water levels are up about 1' so not too bad there. So bad that Tuesday it flipped a pontoon a the other end of our dock. The pontoon went under the dock upside down and was wedged there. They got it out Wednesday but we were afraid it might break free and take out more boats, including ours. It damaged a couple of the fingers but luckily many of the slips at that end were still empty. There were a couple of other boats damaged in all this but I think it was just cosmetic.

Today I cleared a log that was about 10' long and about 12-16" around. It was floating down and caught on the dock. There were several others that were pretty big but that was the biggest. Supposed to be great weather this weekend but I'm not going out in that. Current is still very high. I tried pushing our boat away from the dock and couldn't and I'm not a small guy. The current was pushing it against the finger dock. I have 6 fenders in there so no issue but my big fender (about 8") is smushed.
