Fresh water tank...installing larger tank

has anyone installed a larger fresh water tank on their 340? We do up to 7 days on our 340 and even with conservation, we run very low or sometimes run out by the end of the week. Thinking and extra 10 to 20 gallons would be perfect if it fit and someone has already done so...thanks!

Do you have room for a larger tank? Do you have room for a second tank and a small pump to move it to the main tank?

Don't you have to refuel during the 7 days and get water then? You could get a large cooler and put 5-10 gallon frozen water jugs into it to keep things cold and as they thaw dump them into the water tank.

My four Winns used lake/sea water for the toilet which would be pretty easy to do, maybe tap onto a sea cock for the ac or gen and run a dedicated pump/ line to the toilet only. That could save quite a few gallons over 7 days.

We had a 340 and also experience the fresh water woes. I don't know that I'd ever go back to salt water flush though, had that on a boat once, and all the little organisms in the salt water add a bunch of smell to an already smelly situation. When we usually run into trouble is on a mooring or on the hook for an extended weekend without moving. As hottodie mentioned, usually we can top off the water at whatever fuel dock we stop at when we're traveling.

Some harbors have ice/water boats to help boaters like us. They aren't as common as pump out boats, but in places where we'll spend several days, like Block Island, they are a god send. They aren't crazy money, considering the convenience. BI was 50 cents a gallon last time if I recall.

If you did add another tank or bladder and wanted to tie it into the main tank, there might be room to add another tank under the mid cabin seat storage. That would be next to the existing tank, at least in my '02 340DA.

I thought about a watermark, but I'd really ony need it 1x a year. The portable works great for us. I gravity feed it to the boat water tank.
