Hey All,
I need to replace my anti-siphon valve. I don't think I can access it from the small access panel. I think I need to pull the floor panel above it. Do I need to remove the large rear bench seat. If so, does anyone know how it comes out? Looks like a big job. I'm a 2008 Sea Ray 230 Select Fission package. The rear seat is the one that folds up to become rear facing.
Thanks!

Anti siphon valves are simple devises that don't fail often. What makes you think it needs to be replaced. Has the boat been run on a remote tank that would make the main fuel supply suspect?

Intermittent stalling and rough running, then hard to start. Then all of a sudden runs perfect. Happen 3 times in two hours and 1 time in 5 hours. Hard to troubleshoot because not a hard fault.

I'll do that when I can access the fuel tank. Other people have said check the fuel vent.
Super weird intermittent problem. Never happen last year. Every mechanic two weeks out. Happen on 5th and 6th trip of the year.

I doubt you have a bad anti siphon valve. Rig up a separate 6 gallon fuel tank with fresh fuel and run the boat. If the problem goes away you know you have bad fuel or fuel supply problem. If the problem persists the problem is not the fuel tan or fuel. Start with the basics.

I can't duplicate the problem. If it happen in my driveway I could do that.
