Hey guys,

I know the coffee maker is a great thing for many people, but for some, it really takes up some room.

Since I don't drink coffee, I removed mine and converted it into a pot/pans cabinet....

As you might know, the cabinet isn't finished off behind the coffee maker. So you have to build it out if you want to keep it protected from the hull.

Lots of room.

Once Removed....

Bottom and top ..... I used starboard because it's mold inhibiting and clean for pots.

Back pieces secured with L brackets and caulk...

I also removed and replaced the slider with adjustable hinges.

We had a 400DA before the current boat. The 400DA has a bunch more storage than the 510. My center tank takes up storage, head placement takes up storage, so on and so forth

Stupid question: I just bought a 380 Sundancer and like you, have no use for the coffee maker. I tried to pull it out without success. May i ask how you got it out?

The coffee maker is screwed to a board and the board is fastened to the bottom of the cabinet. As mentioned look for screws above and below... I only had two screws

I was able to get the screws out and slide the bottom partially out but can’t get behind it to unplug it. After struggling with it for a while, I’m just going to have the mechanics do it when they winterize it.

I believe it plugs in behind the microwave, so you will have to remove that to get to the plug.

I had three screws holding wood bottom to cabinet, then 3 more holding coffee maker to that board. Ended up cutting wire and taping ends until I can locate plug. Manual says it's tied to the gfi outlet under the microwave but receptical empty of plug.

This is exactly how we did my friends boat. It's def a standard appliance chord.

Boat guy, thanks for sharing. Nice modification. Any idea how tall the opening is when you remove the coffee maker? I'd love to add a keurig in place of the original coffee maker but need to know roughly what the height dimension is. My lazy ass could go to the boat but you seem to have done the hard work.

Sorry buddy, I'm far from the boat now....

By you are in luck because I have an email with the specs I used. I used 3/8" starboard on top and bottom. The side pieces were 11-5/8" sandwiched between so add 3/4" and you should have the approx height.... Hope that's correct...Doing from memory.
