Ft. Myers

Sounds like fun!

There are a couple people on my list to visit but that pesky job keeps getting in the way...

Had a nice dinner tonight with Mr. and Mrs. FootballFan and Steve S. in Ft. Myers.
Great to meet Steve S.
We happen to be in the Ft. Myers area this week. Some friends rented a house for a couple weeks and invited us to stay this week. Beautiful area. Went to the dog races and rented a boat/captain for a day to cruise around Port Charlotte and the gulf coast.

Sort of the same problem except in my case it’s my wife’s job that gets in the way.
I gave up that work thing about 3 years ago because it interfered too much with my boating and other enjoyable activities.
Keep threatening my wife that if she doesn’t quit working soon I’m going to start doing stuff without her.

We’re heading back down Tuesday and staying with friends in ft Meyers /Venice for a few days tried to connect with footballfan but weather pushed him out of the area.
We’ll try again sometime. Anyone else around later next week let me know. We put the wife’s car on a truck today so we’ll have wheels also.

I'm flying back in Monday morning. Weather is going to be rainy tomorrow with a cold front going through and then a few cooler days. Back to normal by Thursday...

We moved to boca grande today.

Was a wonderful day, just starting to get windy.

We really enjoyed the evening last night. Susan said she saw you departing this AM. You picked the perfect day to leave. I "enjoyed" a 30 minute holding pattern in moderate turbulence getting into ATL this morning as the front came through there. The cold front is just leaving south GA tonight and entering FL.

The squall line is through Sarasota/Bradenton now. Wind out of the North, should be 40 in the am, and blowing like hell. Squashed my Sunday run. In the air Monday. Oh well, the good news is it only lasts 1-3 days, and then back to sunny calm. Sun just came out.

We are south of you. Wind has turned. Still pretty calm, not much wind yet. Will have some tonight. Expect mid 60’s tomorrow, 70’s by Monday.

Expect to be back outside running Monday and Tuesday....

In the meantime- we are at one of our favorite places. What a way to take a weather break.

I drove the downpour going thru Tampa, ST Pete on I-275. Stopped by the time I got to Clearwater and was bright sunshine and 70 in Gainesville.

Jobs are so annoying.

My friend that owns a 560DB lives in Ft Myers during the winter.
