There are other options. Here is one. Read the entire post; actually, quite a large improvement from the SM monitor system. I have monitor screens and alarm in both the salon and helm; in the below picture you can see the helm monitor below the VHF handset. I did a complete post just on the SR monitor change somewhere also.
