Ok, who are your favorite authors or any good books you’ve read?
I have never been much of a reader but a few years back a good friend of mine’s son who was a Navy Seal lost his lost his life in Afghanistan so that got me interested in reading anything I could get my hands on about the Seals.
No Easy Day, Seal Team Six American Sniper, Loner Survivor and Fearless to mention a few.
Then I started reading all of the Lee Child’s series with Jack Reacher, Ex MP bad ass. (Tom Cruise dose not do him justice in the movies)
Next was Ted Bell’s series about Alex Hawke, British bad ass with a big yacht!
So what’s next?
Help me out !

Seals: Can't hurt me by David Goggins
Other Authors: David Baldacci, CJ Box, Harlan Coben, Ben Coes, Mark Dawson, John Gilstrap, David Hagberg, James Patterson, John Sanford, Brad Taylor, Brad Thor, Vince Flynn to name a few. I love to read. Mike

All of the Jack Ryan series of books by Tom Clancy are great reads. He started with Hunt For Red October. Too bad Tom has passed, he was a great writer, always would be reading his books, and current events would be unfolding that would rhyme with the book he wrote two years earlier.

Thanks Mike,
I’ve read a couple CJ Box & James Patterson.

I’m an avid reader and agree with the authors and subject matter mentioned above.
But I’ve noticed a troubling phenomenon over the last few years.
It seems like anyone with a story, laptop, printer and paper can get a book published if they pay the price.
I’ve bought a couple of books recently that were written by guys I worked or crossed paths with over the years and another one written by the husband of someone my wife worked with.
The only thing worse than the storylines was the editing.
WTF?

Also give Randy White's (fiction) Doc Ford books a try. Lots of boats water etc. Most stories take place in SW Florida. Doc's base of operations in on Sanibel.

Thanks, I will be spending a couple weeks near Sanibel next week, we have eaten at Doc Ford’s restaurants but didn’t know about his books, will have to look for them.
