Calling all 360 DA owners

We are in Panama City but are considering a move to JAX.

I didn’t wrap the boat before shipping. I removed all canvas and tucked everything away

Hello 360DA owners,

New to the site, current owner of of Cruisers Yachts 3075, looking to move up in size and year. I have three friends, all owners of 380DAs so I'm very familiar with the fit and finish of early 2000 Sea Rays. I also get the gears from all of them whenever we are out about why I don't have a Sea Ray yet!

There are no 360s near me to look at, so for now, I have to do all of my research online looking at pictures/videos and reading forums like this.

I do have a few general questions about the boat that I'm hoping I could get answers for. I'll just list them below.

Thanks in advance for anyone's help.
dave

1. Can two normal sized adults sleep in mid cabin? I read that a person over 6' tall can lay down in there, but wanted to confirm that was accurate

2. Where do people store the cockpit sun pad cushions? Is there a dedicated storage place for those cushions?

3a. Where do you store the extra dinette cushion that makes it into a bed when it's not in use?
3b. When the dinette berth is made up, where do you store the dinette table top?

4. Is there a storage area under v-berth mattress? (besides the drawers at the foot of the bed)

5. Can you actually sleep two people on the dinette berth? It doesn't look that big in pictures...

I have had 6 people sleep on the boat. 2 in the bow, 2 in mid, 1 in the galley /dinette and 1 top side. It is certainly less than ideal but it went pretty easy. I typically fold the sun-ad and stash under the transom bench seat. The dinette cushions I stash under mid-berth bunk. I have no drawers under my bow berth as that is where my AC unit is located. As for the dinette table I stow it under the aft cabin bunk.

the 360 is a great boat. As I understand it, the 360 was the smallest “yacht” Sea Ray built in their yacht facility in I believe Merritt island florida. That being the case the 360 has a ton of upgraded add-ons. I am very pleased with my 360

I am 6'2" and can certainly stretch out fully in the aft berth. Two normal sized people should be comfy there, but the one in the back will have to climb over the one in front to get out. If the A/C is on the water pump for it (in the ER quite near the aft berth) will cycle on and off and it can be heard. There is good ventilation in the aft berth. The vacuflush pump is also more audible from the aft berth than the forward berth.

We store the cockpit sunpad cushions at home -- never use them. They can fit under the aft berth (when it's made up as a berth and not as a "couch") if you've nothing else stored there.

The cushions for the dinette "bed" store in the aft berth, in a slot along the stern bulkhead below the mirror/bolster, above the cushion. Never assembled the bed there, never had anyone sleep there.

There is no storage under the forward berth. The A/C is there.

Have had my 360 for 5 years now and absolutely love the boat.
I'll have to look into where the others on the post store the dinette cushions in the aft. I have a removable cushion that goes in the slot between the seat and the top of the bolster, below the mirror. It fills in the "couch" when you pull the aft cabin lounge into a bed.
My cushions for the dinette store in underneath the dinette seat, closest to the electrical panel.
As for the dinette table, it stores under the master stateroom berth (above the AC unit). there is a built-in storage for the table there.
I've had 8 sleep aboard - and it wasn't that bad. Two forward, one on the dinette (it could sleep two, but it may be tight), two in the aft, one each on the cockpit lounges, and one on the floor in the cockpit. All adults, so it works.
Good luck on the search...

Thanks so much everyone for the replies, much appreciated. We have 3 teenage kids who all need their own place to sleep when they all come to the boat. I had never considered having people sleeping individually on the cockpit benches, that's a good idea. They look quite long in pics.

One of the reasons we picked the 360 was the size of the aft berth and the dinette berth. Both of my kids are over 6' tall. The 340's we looked at (not all have this) had bolsters on each end of the dinette making it unusable. As far as the aft berth, The 410DA's aft berth was even shorter. My broker got a kick out of us going to each boat with a tape measure.
I store my dinette filler cushion under the dinette seat, it fold in half.
There is no storage under the V berth mattress, It hides the fresh water tank and the A/C compressor.

So in need to replace some trim. Flounder Pounder calls it "Window Screw Cover Trim" but there are a couple different types. Any body purchase any of this for our 360s?

I purchased some from the local SR dealer.....pricey but definitely looks better than the old stuff. A word of caution when you cut the new stuff...cram as much as you can into the track. I thought I had cut enough but it does “shrink” and leaves gaps!

I did the same on mine a few years back. Purchased from Skipper Buds. $4/ft. purchased a total of 26', so that I had plenty - and some left over just in case.
Part number is 8349040.
I used some soap and water to make the installation a little easier. As stated, leave enough so that you can pack it into the ends. It will shrink again.
Easy job. Have fun!

i have not replaced, but I have cut the black plastic cover of a Folgers container to fit.
It will last for while till you have chance to replace it.

On a side note, has anybody found a textured or raised replacement "360" like on Seadawg's picture? Part of one of my "3's" is missing.

So has anybody upgraded the original Clarion head unit (and CD magazine) on the 360? I wanting to do an upgrade, bluetooth for sure and possibly Sirius XM.

Gonna have to cover up that hole where the wired Clarion remote controller is. Fusion??

Hello, we have a Fusion head in the AC/DC locker and remote at the bridge. Love the unit.

Hello, I hope everyone is healthy and staying safe. Do any of you have a wire diagram for our boat? Avalon is a 2003 but I doubt the wiring changed much as our production run was a bit short.
