04 300DA aft accessory

Twin 454 Mercruiser T 340 with Hurth drives

Working on installing underwater lights on a 300DA (2004 year) and see there are three accessory switches on the dash. Is there a pigtail or other way to tie into these in the engine compartment? I would like to use the one makes “aft acc” but need to know where the tie in to it is. Any help is appreciated!

You need the owners manual for your boat - in there is a wiring diagram..... most likely the wire you need will be coming from the aft eim in the engine bay, it won’t be particularly long and most likely just buried in the loom. You’ll need to identify it by colour and wire number (from the wiring diagram)


If it’s the same as my 2006 300da, it’s a red wire with a purple stripe, wire number 526-14 coming from the big plug on the aft eim

I am doing the exact same thing to my 03 300da. Where you able to figure the wiring out? I have been looking at the manual and believe it is the Red/Vio coming from the aft eim no. 526 just like mickT stated.
is that correct?

If you have bilge fuse/relay box then look in harness comming out of box. There should be short wire with butt connector buried within.
