looking for some advice as to how to remove the upholstery on the exterior deck. Is it through bolted and is there any tricks to getting access to these bolts?

Post some pics

looking to take these cushions off to have them reconditioned. the seats were easy enough but not sure how to go about these with out destroying them or the boat

These are through bolted. The rear bolster has decent access from the transom storage area.

The forward cushion bolster at the helm in through bolted and you will need to disassemble inside the cabin above the entrance to the mid cabin to gain access - from there you can access the bolts and the forward bolts to the port gunnel.

The center "hump" is also through bolted. The forward bolts can be accessed via the speaker opening. The rear bolts are a stretch up from inside the engine compartment (if similar to the 260DA) and the lower bolts in the cockpit can be accessed in the engine compartment and possibly by dropping the headliner in the mid cabin (if similar to the 260DA) and it is quite a bit of disassembly. The little covered piece on the seat base is only accessible via the mid-cabin.

I reupholstered my entire 260DA when I had it an I am guessing it is similar in construction.

Yeah, pretty much identical to the 260DA of that era. There really is a lot of disassembly in the mid-cabin to get the "hump" out - especially the inboard edge.

For the "rear bolts" that Kevin is referencing, I chose to just cut a hole (opposite the speaker) to access then cover it back up with a custom painted deck plate. Came out really nice and looks just fine.

On the rear backrest - that port-side corner is probably going to have one through-bolt that is only accessible via the bilge... or maybe it was via the bilge vent? I don't recall on that one. However, I cheated and just pulled/ripped that corner off - there are plenty of screws holding the backrest down that that last one in the corner wasn't needed.

Forgot about that one.. IIRC, you did have to remove the vent cover - but it was easily remove and access was easy from there.

Oh, I said "through bolt" for that aft backrest, but I should have said "screw".
