I just purchased a 1978 srv 197 and I would like to find an owners or operators manual for this boat. I have been searching the internet and found one site that has a manual for a similar model, but I would like to get the correct manual for this boat if possible.

May not have been one. I have never found an owners manual for my 72 SRV 190. But I do know where to find the manuals for the engines https://boatinfo.no/lib/mercruiser/manuals/mercruiser3.html#/0 You need Adobe Flash Player to view it. It is not downloadable, but easily viewed on line. And you can print out pages you need, but they put a restriction on how many pages you can print.
