Trump Flag conundrum

Intimidated?? Now that's funny, almost as funny your statement of how they operate a boat. I'm quite certain I have twice the hours on the water as you:D

The very fact that the term TDS has been coined indicates a problem so big it can’t even be seen.

A classic illusionist’s trick...distract your audience from seeing reality so that they only see the falsehood that you want them too.

Say something over and over until it becomes the truth.

Deflect, deflect, deflect.

Eventually people are trained and wearing silly red hats and flying flags in honor of things few of them are capable of comprehending for the sole purpose of aggravating those that do.

A friend of mine gave his 10 year old son a flag depicting Trump as Rambo holding a machine gun on which was written “NO MORE BULLSHIT”.

Nice lesson for an up and coming young man. I felt shame for both of them.

Gee, sounds like something right out of the Democrat party play book

Exactly the deflection I set you up for.

So what? What if I told you that I was a registered republican before 2016, but couldn’t pull the trigger on Trump because as someone who grew up in NYC I knew what he was.

Assuming that you were too, why didn’t you spitefully fly a Bush flag? Because it didn’t piss anyone off that’s why.

You’ve been sold a bill of goods by the biggest huckster since P.T. Barnum and continue peddling his crap for him with a level of enthusiasm that is hard to watch.

It would be nice if you’d address the points but from your position avoiding them is much easier.

So, what did you decide to do?

After what the Dems have done here in VA and in this country after the last elections. They have a snowballs chance in hell. Hey but Fairfax and the other areas around DC will vote them in again, while the rest of the Commonweath votes them out.

Exactly the deflection I set you up for.

IDK, what have I been sold. Let's see:

1) Conservative justices on the supreme court.
2) An administration that doesn't hate employers and businesses, thereby making economic commerce easier.
3) Someone willing to take on the disproportionate trade deals the previous hucksters "negotiated."

That's pretty much more than Bush and Obama did combined.

Also -
Money (US dollars) is worth more, much more, circulating in the public sector. Money is worth far less when the federal government intercepts then distributes. For anyone to say the private sector needs to be taxed more and the government will redistribute to level the paying field is not doing so in the interest of the American public; anyone in the public.

You nailed it Soulshine:D

Also - nice to have someone in the White House who is not a career politician, not afraid to go after the status quo and really isn’t strictly aligned with either of the two political parties who have spent the last few decades tearing the country apart for profit.
Honestly, if you looked at Trump before he came down the escalator he could have just as easily run as a centrist Democrat.
The hard core Republicans hate him for winning as much as the Democrats do. They thought Jeb Bush had some sort of birthright and are pissed that they couldn’t do to Trump what the Democrats did to Sanders. Trump went around them completely. Look at how Ryan and company pushed back against him for his first two years.
He has pulled the far right more towards the center. Unfortunately, rather than taking advantage of having a guy in the White House that they stood a chance of negotiating with, the Democrats decided to dig their heels in, resist to the point of ridiculousness, and move to the hard left.
Dumb move that will probably cost them the White House again, put them at risk of losing the House and probably kill their hope of taking the senate.
On some level, I think they see the opportunity to fund raise by firing up their base even more because of pending loses at the polls as a positive.
Like with all politicians and the machines behind them, it’s all about money. They are addicted to raising it so they can stay in power and raise even more of it.
I don’t think it was initially about Trump personally as much as they were pissed off that their heir apparent didn’t take the prize and the applecart was upset by someone who swooped in from outside politics completely and attacked the status quo.
IMHO: Most DC politicians, especially the career ones, are about the lowest form of life on the planet.
McConnell is as big a POS as Schumer and Ryan was as big an asshole as Pelosi. McCarthy is a jackass too, but he’s playing the game because he needs Trump’s base if he has any hope of taking the house.
AOC, as dumb as she is, is the Trump of the left. She swooped in, surprised them and stole the prize in a primary from a deeply entrenched Democrat who was in line to be Speaker down the road. It wasn’t supposed to happen. Now she won’t play nice in the sandbox with them. The Dems hate her and are praying they can beat her in a primary.

Nope....just proved the point that TDS is an incurable illness. Personally, I will stick with the guy who:

-Put the right people on the Supreme Court to uphold the Constitution ....not rewrite it.
-Knows that Business drives prosperity in the US and raises everyone's standard of living.
-Keeps the Media in their place.
-Knows more about the economy than any President in US history.
-Negotiates better Trade Deals
-Has put more money into the Military than Obama.
-Getting the Military home from Syria and out of Afghanistan by Election Day.

I get that the illness is triggered by how he communicates and acts. There are times I cringe when he says or does things I wouldn't say or do.

However, results matter. I am far more impressed with his accomplishments than Clinton, Bush or Obama. For that....I am willing to watch others get triggered and complain about deflection and other nonsense.

IDK, what have I been sold. Let's see:

Where’s your wall?

1) Conservative justices on the supreme court.

A Supreme Court comprised of both liberal and conservative judges might be more balanced, yet wouldn’t fit your agenda.

2) An administration that doesn't hate employers and businesses, thereby making economic commerce easier.

You must be referring to the endless string of contractors he’s ripped off in all of his bankrupt enterprises.

3) Someone willing to take on the disproportionate trade deals the previous hucksters "negotiated."

After marketing failed Trump branded merchandise made in China.

That's pretty much more than Bush and Obama did combined.

When you’re right you’re right. See above.

Insightful, articulate, and accurate. Unlike some, you provide meat and substance to a rather good discussion. I had hoped the progressive side of this discussion had as good argument but alas one line derogatory comment is the muster. Thank You.

All great points!
I probably wouldn’t hang out with the guy because he’s a bit of a jerk, but short of being a stone cold criminal or psycho, I’m way more concerned about job performance than personality.
Having had thousands of people work for me at different times in different capacities over a number of years, and having my success depend on how well they performed their jobs, I learned quickly that personality, or how much I liked or disliked someone as a person should be one of the last things I considered when choosing them for a particular job.
It’s always nice to like the people who work for you, but it’s way nicer if the people who work for you get the job done.
