So if you got the extension, would you get the Plus for the extra 3 inches (9inches total) vs the 6 inches?

depends on the width of your dinghy, if 5' like mine and you need starboard access then I would probably go for the 9" but these are NOT cheap. I would just deflate the starboard rib to be honest! $1,895USD accessory or bit of inflating inconvenience, I know what im doing!

Getting ready to install with the extension. I know you said 60/40 trying to figure out the exact placement to offset the weight of the engine
 
@HallOfDreams quick question, installing Hurley H30 exactly like your set up. When you mounted the Hurley how did you compensate for the slight curve on the swim platform? The platform on the 340 is rounded, did you line the Hurley along the curve or straight with some overage off back. Ultimately I’m trying to figure out if the template should be straight and follow the slight curve or horizontal with Back of boat. Hopefully I’m making sense . Thanks
 
I have a different boat but same style curved platform.

I mounted mine so the back of the fixed portion of the Hurley was perpendicular to the center line of the boat, or in other words NOT following the curve of the platform.
 
@swaterhouse thank you, makes sense but to confirm it will not jeopardize the integrity of the Hurley, correct?
 
The mounting template shows "edge of platform" I made it so that both mounts were on the platform, so one is in just a little bit, it works just fine.
 
@swaterhouse and @HallOfDreams - question: I installed the Hurley H30 last night and on my 340 swim platform, you have a slight lip. The lip is preventing the Hurley from completely engaging. I almost need a shim of sorts to raise and clear the lip. Did you run into this problem and if so what was your solution? BTW I did not 52/4200 the holes, I did a test run. Any thought would be really helpful, my Admiral is starting to give me that look : )
 
I have the same lip. Hurley makes a shim, or you can make one out of starboard. I used the Hurley shim. I don't see them on their website, I think they may just give these out if you needed them. Since you're already shipped you may need to pay shipping costs.

I wouldn't use 5200, 4200 or boat life works just fine and will come off if you ever need it to. 5200 is permanent.
 
Thanks @swaterhouse, I’m making two replica starboard plates 1/4” to clear lip. Definitely plan on using 4200 vs 5200.
 
I went to Hurley and for $22 I purchased the plates which were sent 2 day! Great company and great customer service! Question, what type of cover do you recommend for your inflatable? I have a 9'6 AB and need something that will stay on underway and fit with a 15hp motor. Any thoughts or recommendations? Thanks in advance!
