Where are you located in Michigan? We are in the process of purchasing a 390DA and had the survey done today, found a few issues. I'm not near the boat so I can't access the boat quickly(boat is in Oklahoma/Texas, I'm in Michigan). Can someone tell me the BTU size of the salon AC unit? Also, the freezer is no-op, anyone replaced theirs? Cost?
Thank you.
It's a 2004, it's the same boat you have. Thank you for the information as well. You didn’t say the year of the boat you are looking at. It does make a difference. My 2005 41’ LOA has a 12,000 btu unit in the salon.
We were in MacRay for years and this year we switched over to Belle Maer Harbor.Where are you located in Michigan?
WD-40The Pocket door to the V-Berth squeaking! Yes, I'm bad. I woke the sleeping Beauty with this squeaking door. Now before I start tearing surfaces away can anyone tell me what you have done to quiet this pocket door down?
Checking in. Our (new to us) 40 arrived last Friday. Currently hauled out for service and electronics install. Bought the boat down in Miami and drive it up. Nice day and quite a difference from our previous 340.
My trip home in the boat was 5.5 hours running around 2300 rpms. We averaged about 21mph but keep in mind I had a bad cutlass bearing, 1000 service due so we ran warm and my props were in desperate need of reconditioning. With the service, props reconditioned and some prop speed I expect to run 100 rpms more, faster speed and lower temps. That being said it was a completely different ride from a 340. We were in 2-3 seas with occasional 3-4. She ran incredibly well and comfortable. Not a lot of pitching from the bow. I really enjoyed it. The day was hot, muggy and sunny so we put on the aft cover and ran the A/C. Cooled off and it was comfortable. You'll notice on that size that the boat sits much higher than a 340 and due to the beam it feels more stable. How is the cruise speed? I know its nothing compared to ur 340.. Just sold our 320 last year and looking to make a move on a 390 or 40... And prob gonna do the same.. I'm in NJ and would like to run it to Fl every other year or something like that....

You are going to love it. If you have any questions send me a pm and well chat.
After seeing the transcoolers and heat exchangers I’m seriously thinking about a flush kit.Don't forget the aftercoolers. l Had an 05 390 with QSB's rated at 380 hp and ran it all over Lake Michigan at 2700 rpm and 27-28 mph.
You will also find it is probably over propped. The 380's were rated at 3000 rpm and I propped it to turn 3050 which took 2 inches less pitch.
Enjoy the boat, it is a great package.
I know this is an old post but, dang man, how'd you run all those LED's. Share with the family.<<<<< look at my profile pic.. what do you want to know..
or..
Did your top end speed change after you took out 2” of pitch?Don't forget the aftercoolers. l Had an 05 390 with QSB's rated at 380 hp and ran it all over Lake Michigan at 2700 rpm and 27-28 mph.
