Planning to install fresh water wash down pump. Can I tap into the gen or a/c through hull water sources using a “T” ?, Don’t want a vapor lock or flow issue so witch source is best??Thinking of mounting pump in bilge with water disconnect in aft storage compartment with hose stored in aft compartment. Power supply is easy in bilge.

Thank you

I am looking at doing this on my 380 DA. Still up in the air, I was planning on use water from my fresh water tank, then I would only need to tap the cold and have water pressure from the water system. I am just looking at washing the anchor area down. I am leaning this was for ease and the amount of water I will use is minimal

I have thought of using raw water (from the lake). I think you can tap either the AC or Genny. I think I would do the AC, just to be safe, hate to take any chances with the genny, so finicky....

Excited to see your project, please keep us informed

Thank you...Thinking of connecting the wash down pump to the fresh water valve in the transom locker. we never use it and would be a slick way to have a fresh water connection with easy access. I would obviously disconnect and cap that line from the current water system. Amazing the things I come up with at 3am... do you think that would work?

Should work, but I would think there is a closer spot to T into your cold water, on my boat the pump is toward the front.

I leave a zero g hose in the transom locker with a spray nozzle. I use this to spray the bugs off the platform when we stay on the hook
