PIB - Lake Erie

If this keeps up we’re out. I’m not playing games with these animals. My family matters! Just remember, the revenue from boaters is irrelevant to PIB. Only the 5-10k people that come from the ferry are important.
There was never a time where I didn’t feel safe.... it’s a respect thing that is missing... respect for property, other people and common decency...

We popped in Saturday evening for a $350 bowl of bisque. We never left the boardwalk (the sun had set and we had a 35 mile lake crossing ahead) We definitely felt out of place. I generally don't go on the weekends in the summer anymore. Sunday funday is the best. Lots of entertainment and the amateurs and crowds are gone.

We were there Saturday night up on the back deck around 7:00.... we decided to leave and go to Hooligans...if the Boardwalk isn't going to police the place.. a lot more people are going to leave... I wont be back any time soon

We tied up around 8:00 or so and were out at 9:30. It was a menagerie of interesting characters for sure, but everyone seemed to be behaving. But again, I never ventured out of the Boardwalk, nor did I want to.
I've been going there since I was a kid on my dads boat (late 60's). Lots of changes over the years for sure.

My wife just sent this post from FB.

Sheesh...and I thought dealing with high water would have been the most aggravating thing on the great lakes this summer :)

We were there this weekend. In the bars and downtown at night and there were no issues .... Miller’s, Nest and Town docks were all around 2/3’s full....had a great time

Just cancelled my reservations for next weekend. This morning 4 more states were added to NY’s quarantine list, Ohio being one of them. I knew we should have went last week.

We were there last weekend and it was dead... very few boats at Millers, Crews nest and B dock and quite a few restaurants were closed:
Hooligans
Topsy Turvey
Boathouse
Frostys
So if you make the trip call first to see how things are going...
We’re here now. If bars aren’t the most important thing to you then it’s totally fine.
