port motor starts no issues

starboard motor only starts with emergency switch—but here’s the odd part to me—as soon as I let go of the emergency switch it shuts down. When I do have it running (with emergency switched engaged) all dash readings are good. I swapped out batteries and still the same thing.

I have the push button style start switches. Yes the breaker and keys are on down in cabin. Starboard motor runs great and starts normal as long as I hold down emergency parallel switch.

Open to any suggestions. Almost feels like to me the switch could be bad on dash.

Could be bad switch on Dash.... Wouldn't hurt to try to swap that out quick as well.

make sure the key for the engine is turned on in the electric panel.

Just a quick follow up. Turned out to be the 15amp fuse on the motor. All good now. Thank you for the replies. I didn’t think to even check those because as mentioned above the motor ran when the emergency parallel switch was engaged. Happy 4th! Be safe.
