Clarion CMD4 aux input -- cabin speakers only?

I got the info Wylie_Tunes. After looking, it's a CMD5, but it still won't play the cockpit speakers on Bluetooth.
Here's a couple of pics, I see fade on the radio face, but can't find balance anywhere, not even in the menu. The fade works with the regular radio, just not on Aux, which is my Bluetooth.

It looks like you have 4 speakers and a sub? 2 cabin, 2 cockpit + sub?

edit: the sub looks bridged, but I can't tell off of which channels

Six, four in the cockpit, and two in the salon. It does have a sub, but I can't tell what's what. There's a blue wire spared out, but I couldn't find where it went.

Blue wire is typically the remote power switch, so when the head unit comes on, it powers the amp.

I'm wondering if you have 4 channels (front, back, left, right) wired directly to the head unit and 4 channels (front back, left, right) going to the amp via the pre-amp ports. That could be the disconnect. Not sure if in that head unit there's a menu option for Auxiliary to include running the signal through the pre-amp? I'm going to look online for some instructions. WTH, I'm working from home right?:D

So here's some screen shots you should check out in the menu settings while in AUX mode.

I'm sure the internal amp setting is on because I believe you are probably running that in your cabin.

You may want to check this just on case your signal from the device is weak, but it's probably a non-issue seeing as you're getting sound to the other speakers

This one is interesting. You may want to check to see if it is "not" set to AUX/CeNet and "AUX" only.

....because as you can see below, it looks like it monkey's around with theLeft and Right settings?? For phone output that is...

I'm not sure if this will help or not or if you've already ran through these procedures, but it's worth a shot.

Thank you OllieC,I was just getting on the computer to look up the manual.
I'll take a look at it after lunch. I've been off of work because of the virus, and I'm making a pulled pork meal for my wife and her coworkers since I can't take her out to lunch.

I have the CMD4 with a JL MBT-RX plugged into the Aux jacks and it works perfectly....plays through all speakers when asked to....

Could you please take a picture of where/what aux cable you used please. I have 4 in the back, 1 pair for frontspeakers and 1 pair for backspeakers. I just bought the MBT-RX and a couple of new JL speakers. I can't get sound from 4 speakers when using the Bluetooth. Works great with radio and CD.
Thanks

CMD4 only has one pair of AUX-in and they have red leads. The other 3 pair are outputs, gray, black and purple leads.

Roger- it doesn't sound like you have a CMD4 if you only have front and rear RCA inputs. Can you take a picture of your head unit? It won't help if we are talking different models. Wylie's right. You should have three pairs of RCA's on leads if you have a CMD4. If you don't, you have a different model radio.

Hi,
It's a CMD4, but can't find out what the "7 and 8" cables would be.
Thanks for your help.

Not sure i follow what the "7 and 8" mean.
I meant the cable on the wiring diagram (7 & 8), but I solved it (quite embarrassed actually).
Those cables was attached to the TV output in the cabin (I don´t even have a TV installed).
I took those (they are the AUX) and now the Bluetooth adapter works just great and the sound from my new JL Audio 6.5 sound is fantastic. Thinking of upgrade with a 10" bass and amplifier.
Great thanks for your involvement, very much appreciated. I am quite sure I am going to have more other questions :)

Curious if the sound is much better simply by swapping out to the jl audio speakers. I’m thinking of doing the same thing. Better sound quality? And can you blast the stereo now almost to the max without it sounding distorted?

Yes, the JL audio speakers are light night and day indifference.
They sound very good, even if I only have their "basic" 6.5 loudspeakers :)
Next step will be to install their 10" sub-bass.
Very good improvement for sure.

By basic do you mean the m3 line?
