Hey folks,
Hoping to get some direction here. A couple of issue arose with my systems monitor . First it was showing front sump alarm. This would be the pump which is in the box that the showers drain to. Opened the box to hear the pump running despite there being no water in it. Figured the float was bad so I disconnected one wire to the float, pump continued to run so I cut the other wire, pump still continued to run. Ended up having to cut a solid brown wire which for whatever reason supplied a constant 12v to the pump. I was able to resplice the float back to the pump, so that is good. Only thing is the monitor still displays "front sump alarm" I imagine this is because of the constant 12v current to that wire which started out of nowhere. The other note is that despite purposely tripping the fuse for that pump on the panel in the engine room, the pump continued to run. Any ideas as to where this constant current is coming from? It looks like the brown wire runs all the way back to the "black box" brains if the monitor in the engine room.
Second, the monitor began displaying "Starboard engine, service required soon." What would this mean and where do you begin.
