New carpet pics in a 1996 450DA!

The engine hatch piece on a 450DA is held in place by the rear seat supports. You may not have anything similar on the 340DA. On my boat, the engine hatch carpet can possibly slide about 3/4", but in 2 months, mine has not budged. The vinyl backing Corinthian uses is sort of tacky to the touch. It takes some effort to slide the carpet..........which make it a good bit harder to re-position after you remove and replace it after storage.

That looks really nice, Frank. I especially like the serged edge. It just gives it that little extra bit of distinction.

hmmm.. the pile is denser/thicker on the aquamat backing one?

I opted for the original backing because I was told that pile was thicker. I don't have quite the sun and water issues that most of you do so and I wanted the thicker feel.

Yes, the pile on the Aquamat backed carpet is 30 ounces for the Standard Berber and 36 ounces for the Premium Berber. The black rubber backed carpet that Sea Ray uses is 28 ounces.

grrrrrrr.... beats what I had I spose... (nothing) and umm.. the original carpet on my 06 SD still looks new.... but... wellhelll

New custom patterns sent off today to Corinthian. The older Berber should have been replaced sooner but better late then never... Replacing with woven vinyl with the same aqua loc backing (gray ribbed upgraded backing).
