Removing Ice Maker 400 DA

Need to remove mine. There's got to be some kind of trick? I know other 400 DA owners have done it - how? There is no clearance.
Thanks

The one down stairs in the frig or the one up on the upper salon?

Good question. Forgot to mention that. It’s the one in the cockpit.

If I recall correctly the side wall with carpet comes off. Then the front wall that the ice maker is mounted to needs to be loosened. Some screws may be accessed from under cabinet under the sink. I think you can then tilt the front wall back a bit which gets you the angle needed for the ice maker to clear that lower lip on the bottom. Also remove that lower latch support. Screws are behind the rubber bumpers-your appear missing. Feel around on the carpet since the screws are buried.

Hey Greg like yobub said. 400/410 Sundancer forum, starts on post #2527 5/2/2020. Good luck. I just replaced my water line the other day.

Yupper. Just did this. It is in the 400/410 thread. Short story - everything becomes clearer once you get the center wall out!

Thanks to all for the feedback. Looking at the past post RollerCoastr says to move the ice maker and white panel to the right? The ice maker is tightly fit to the panel opening and the panel is secured to a wall on the left, so I' not sure how I can slide the ice maker and panel over. I see also it was suggested to slide the fridge and white panel forward together, then tip the ice maker back. I will take another crack at it today. I think Ez needs to stop over and help. The good news is the fridge arrived yesterday - the one way too big to fit in the ice maker hole.

Hah. Glad to hear I'm not losing my mind on the fit of that dorm fridge.

How did you make out on your second try at getting the ice maker out? Did you get the center wall removed??

Yes it wasn't easy by I got it out. Like you and other stated, need to remove the divider to the right of of the IM, then remove all the screws that hold the white panel the IM sits in. Once the IM is free, I slide the IM and panel to the right. I tipped the left side up over the bottom of the fiberglass cut out, but couldn't get the right side to clear. I kept moving it around and finally got the IM flange to clear the cut out. The IM then slide out of the panel. If worst come to worst, someone could make the opening of the cut out the IM goes in bigger to make it easier to get out.

I checked out the fridge you put in, but it looks very small. Not sure it would hold all the beer I typically drink in a weekend.

So I'm going to try to fix the hold I punctured in the bottom, then take it to a marine fridge repair place and see if then can refill the Freon. Should be good to go. Then I can go through the BS of reinstalling it.

Thanks again for all the help.
