Window Vent Actuator - 4" or 6" Stroke

Mark,
I think that is way too powerful for the vent window. As I read the SR parts list, I think it is a 6" stroke but only 8# pull. This is the new I used:

I ordered a 6" with the minimum pressure which was 35#. At that, we have to be careful not to over open or close it. Also, if you click around on the PA site, you will find that they offer a boot to protect the linear actuator from spray and that makes a much neater installation than the cover Sea Ray sold with the boat.

Thanks. Not sure what you mean by too powerful? I will order pa-6-35. Any advice on the wiring? The existing wires are heavily wrapped. Don’t know what you’d do if you ever had to rerun them.

Sorry, it's an email from Frank W. to me about the actuator I had found and he responded with the email I posted. It turned out mine was just a bad helm switch... And there are only 2 wires I believe going to the actuator

Project complete. Amazing how much quieter the new actuator is. PA-4-35 is the model number from Progressive Automation.
