Explosion!

Scariest part of boating for me. And no matter how careful you are, the fuel attendant can always have a brain fart. Or the boat right across the dock.

Damn... Not running the blower or something? I didn't hear them give a reason for it.

Doesn’t look like anything out of the ordinary happened to cause that.

Good fortune that nobody was hurt. I always go to the gas dock alone.

One of the biggest reasons we went a bit bigger on boat to justify diesel power. I sleep much better at night these days.

several boats of blown up after they put 200 gallons of fuel in the rod holder.
Ha! And they say you can't fix stupid. When that lights off it puts a little chlorine in the gene pool I guess.

I have an old boat with a manual on-off bilge blower switch which is easy to forget to use. Do new boats automatically run the blower before they will start?

I can't understand why it not either a Coast Guard or Insurance requirement to have a bilge fume detector in the engine room of every gas powered boat. Just makes common sense.

I don't understand why people think it's someone else's job to protect us from ourselves...
