Anybody else anchor off metro last night for the Ford Fireworks? Was pretty good, but windy. Almost got hit at anchor by two separate boats, some people just shouldnt own a boat.

Also saw this really nice searay out there. Was a little far away but this pic was right before he started flying his Biden flag high and proud. :p:D

The cancelled Detroit 4th of July Fireworks were moved to Metro Beach for Aug 31. Guess it was supposed to be a secret but it ended up all over facebook. They wanted it to be a televised only event

Oh nice!!! Haha good pic. We almost got hit too. Some idiot had like 10’ of anchor line out.

That’s Joe on the platform. He’s a member on CSR too

No Biden flag here bud!

Same thing. Surprised you didnt hear me yelling. Guy rolls up 30 ft off my bow in a 16ft something, just tosses an anchor over the side and shuts her down. Of course in that wind it didnt grab. He powers up and gasses it and missed me by two inches. Took me three times to get mine set to where I was comfortable shutting the mains down. I bet i had 100 ft of line out and at the end of the night, no exaggeration, some guy tries driving by about 10 ft off my bow and drives right over my line. Stupid people

We stopped going out to fireworks off of Belle Maer....we were only a couple hundred yards from the marina....and it was a gong show to say the least

Shhhhhh...Great Lakes is going to figure out why we took his boat instead of mine. :);):);)
 
I will never go out in a boat for fireworks ever again. We went to the Cedar Point 4th of July fireworks a few years ago and the whole time all I did was watch other boaters almost hit us. Some idiot was drifting and almost hit a bunch of boats, another was running wot through the pack, On the way in a boat bounced off the break wall going into the channel and then a pontoon boat ended up on top of the break wall ( How I have no idea) Those are just a couple examples from the event. never again.
 
blue hull and biden flag was definitely GreatLakes..let me dig the pics up from the marina of the same boat..thats why we keep him in the back of the marina..keep telling Ezsteps hes gotta stay upfront..guilt by association!
