My water tank is a 24 gallon 30'x18'x10 1/2". Duracast 103024. The previous owner let the lower fitting leak so the area it was sitting in was pretty nasty. It's pretty well hidden and you won't know it unless you pull the access panel off. I pulled it out last night to clean the area and am contemplating replacing it. They also used liquid teflon on the fittings and dripped it inside. I don't understand people sometimes... I searched and I found from $250 to almost $500 for a plastic 24 gallon tank... Shipping was crazy on all. I know they don't go "bad", but are these usually available locally? Before I start calling around and wasting people's time I wanted to see if it was something that was just an order on line only. Thanks.

I don't have a source for you, but a cautionary tale. When I purchased my 310, there was a long term leak in the tank. Survey found that the stringers and the bulkhead behind the tank had rotted to the tune of 12 boat bucks. The seller paid for the repair, or I would have had to walk away.

I would recommend doing some ping tests around the adjoining structure to make sure the water didn't make it in.

Thanks. That was the first thing I did when I saw the water. No issues thankfully.

If you eventually decide to replace, check your local septic/storage tank suppliers if there are any. I went by a local place yesterday and the yard, as usual, was filled with ginormous white poly tanks. By the door though were some smaller tanks. One of them looked to be smaller cruiser size. They might not have fittings in the right spots but they can probably change that. Might be cheaper if they have something size appropriate

Thanks. It ended up cleaning up well with Ajax and a bleach soak/flush. I'm replacing the foam strips and she'll be good for another 20 years at least.
