Hi all

I'm hoping someone might be able to help me with my smell problem.
When ever the toilet is flushed those in the cockpit get to enjoy the sewage smells even though no fresh addition has been added to the holding tank.

I have the VacuFlush system which works great. I'm assuming this smell is the VacuFlush working and smells coming from vent.

My question is is this normal? or is there a filter I can replace to get rid of the Sulphur smell.
I've tried Holding Tank Deodorizer tabs but this is a short term fix which doesn't last long at all.

just been reading about the Big Orange filter. I haven't seen a filter on mine but will check again so this Big Orange filter sounds quite promising. Anyone use one?

The filter is only a small part of the problem. The tank needs to be flushed and properly treated, and kept treated.

My filter is one I modified and refill myself for a couple of bucks.

Lots of information here if you search the forum.

Cool thanks CaptRonn yeah I need to go through and flush / clean the system.

The filter is usually attached to the tank vent line. The connection is 3/4“ GHT (garden hose thread), so you can relocate it with fitting from a local hardware store.

As CaptRonn mentioned, you can replace the filter media it’s just aquarium charcoal, and flush the tank well. Start using No flex and you won’t have any smell pretty quick (no flex does take time to get working).

This thread should answer all of your questions.

Help...Why is there such a difference in price for the toilet vent filters? Is one really better than the other for a $50-$75 price difference? I don't want the big orange...but I have been looking at Voker...and I thought they are 5/8 inch, not 3/4 as someone said in the thread? Any ideas?
Thank you.
