Well, it’s not the happiest time in a boaters life...

;)Hey Scott, our wakes have crossed a couple times and it was a pleasure meeting you and your family. Once a boater always a boater, sure you will find time in the near future, but I have found out that you can’t force it on your kids they will find their own interests. In the meantime I will take real good care of my 420DA and won’t poop in the heads if you are ever interested.
And soon you can get that snowblower out and it will take your mind off boating.;)

I think whoever originally said that the two happiest days are the days you buy and the day you sell either:
a) never really liked boating, or
b) had already bought their next boat

The fact you held on to the Whaler shows you have that deep down need to be on the water that we all share.

Hi Scott,
Glad to hear you are flying! Sorry to see your 340 go but, I have no doubt you will be back in the saddle soon enough on Destiny II!! Stay well buddy!!
Todd

Sorry to see this... first it was GFC and now you... two old CSR salts. Oh well, when the time is right, I'm sure you'll be back into it!

Be safe!

Scott, I can relate to the sad feelings you're going through. Having just taken Beachcomber to Seattle to put her up for sale I went through many of the same feelings.

I too have a Whaler but right now it's down in AZ. We're going down there in a month or two to get it and check on the condo. I can't wait to get it back up here so we can have fun with her.

Your future holds more boats so stick around and be part of this group.
Where in AZ? We are at Lake Pleasant.

After nearly 30 years of Sea Ray ownership, I am on the outside looking in. Destiny has a new owner as of 10 AM this morning. Unfortunately I am halfway across the world at the moment and didn’t even get to say goodbye properly.

They say the two happiest days....well, I’m not feeling it. Unfortunately the last two years have been so busy at work, and my sons wouldn’t come to the boat when we could use it, that it just didn’t make sense anymore. Maybe in a couple years I’ll find a prestine 420 or 44 to move into.

In the meantime, we have our Boston Whaler and plane to play with, so it isn’t all bad. I hope the new owner takes care of Destiny and does not poop in the head.

feeling sad in Incheon,

Scott
This is interesting. As of 8:28 am Arizona time this morning we became the proud owners of a 2006 340 Sundancer. The gentleman that sold it to us feels exactly as you describe. This was his baby. I vowed to take good care of her and told him that when he and his lovely wife are back in Az that there is standing invitation to come out for a ride.
P.s. We're not poopin in the head either. :)

We have a place in Sun City West and, for now, have been keeping our Whaler in a storage area that's for the benefit of residents of the Del Webb communities only.

Our plan at this time is to head down to SCW in a couple of weeks. We'll spend about 2 weeks there and when we leave we'll bring our Whaler back with us so we have a boat up here to use.

Here's a couple of pics of our 1981 130 Sport that was completely rebuilt just before we bought her. New gelcoat, wiring, wood interior, etc.

Scott best of luck and you’ll be back or just dont leave. I’m afraid we’re a few short seasons away from selling also.we’ll be on a sandbar with a small boat somewhere.
Sometimes we need a break....

Scott that little 1981 130 Sport is sweeet! I like it. If time allows maybe you could join us at the lake, give our 340 a look see. :)

I went through this last year. We sold our Amberjack to move up but didn't have a replacement yet. It felt horrible to sell it. I said it then: for a boat you've loved the day you sell it terrible.

My wife and kids were a mess. It was the only boat my kids had known and we had so many good memories of them growing up. My teen-age son is especially loyal and had a very hard time letting her go. I'll just say that it was well used in every respect that includes many overnights. That includes using the head to the fullest extent.
