yea i remember that and then they all got off that knees and stood for God save the Queen
 
Packers didn't even take the field before the game. I'm done. I've gotten a lot of stuff done around the house instead of watching football.
 
I didn't know about the God Save The Queen part. That stinks. I loved the NFL when Americans played it.
 
Why waste the day with social justice nonsense when you can catch the highlights on the local morning news the next day?
 
Thursday's opener TV ratings where down 16%. Week one ratings down significantly too. After several months of no live sports, and truncated seasons in NBA and MLB, NFL ratings should have been thru the roof -- it's America's game. Big mistake, huge.

Agreed. With everything going on you would think you would see record ratings. My wife turned the TV on in our bedroom then went back out to the living room. I walked in the bedroom after I got our of the shower and the game was on. I turned it off just so they wouldn't get any ratings from me, if that's how it even works...lol

Dabbie, I see that you are from Olympia so I'm going to assume that you are of democratic preferences. I'm also going to say that it is not the kneeling that has caused the divisiveness in our country. You have entirely missed the point--it's that the kneeling during the National Anthem shows disrespect for our beautiful American Flag.

For about 250 years people have fought and died to keep the freedoms that come with the flag via the Constitution and the Amendments to the Constitution.

They didn't fight so that a bunch of overpaid millionaire babies could disrespect the flag and what it stands for.

Me? I didn't watch any football and I don't plan to. When the Seahawks played I chose to go to another part of the house and binge watch Tom Clancy's "Jack Ryan". It was entertaining and I didn't have to put up with those asshole babies who took a knee.

Yep. And add, that they are "protesting" something 90%+ Americans agree with. That's not a protest, it's a parade. Persuasion 101 -- if you wan't people to make change, don't disrespect them and tell them how bad they are.

If you want change then start following rules. Problem solved! If I get stopped by the police then I stop. If I am asked for ID I provide it. And guess what...I have never had an issue with the police, never been beat up by them, etc. And I can PROMISE you if all of these people that died at the hands of the police had done the same they would still be alive. THEY were the ones that forced and dictated these situations, not the police.
 
I turned on the Fins/Pats game just in time to see the Fins players walking in the tunnel towards the field during the National Anthem!

This would never have happened when Shula was coach.

Note: Patriots stood on the field.
Note: Fins head coach is black.
Note: Fins lost.

God does play favorites. :p

They must be watching to whine about what the players and coaches are doing before the start of the game. LMAO
 
On the flip-side Steelers offensive lineman (and former Army Ranger) put tape over the dead criminals name and wrote the name of a fallen war hero that was also black. Kudos to him for that move. According to the local news Coach Tomlin gave him the ok for that. Let's try honoring heroes for a change instead of criminals!
