Boat Info
Sea Ray 290 Sundancer, 1998
Engines
(2) Merc 5.0 EFI
The 3 batteries in my boat - are they for specific things? i.e. 1 for each engine, 1 for 12v use on board, etc?
As the pics show, 2 are right next to the generator and the third is to the right of the other 2.
If so, please reply with what each one is for.
#1 is the top left
#2 is the bottom left
#3 is the right one
Thank you

I had the 290 for our last boat and only had 2 group 27's with no genny. Can you follow the red cables to see where they attach? I'm sure you see those batteries are over 6 years old!

I have an 2001 290 with no generator, but looks like similar battery setup. On mine, the two batteries connected in parallel serve the house loads and start the port engine. The other one is for starting the starboard engine. I'm not sure how it works with a generator.

yep, the 2 battery bank is house and one engine (I think it was the port side) and the single was for generator and the other engine on our 1998 290DA

Very good - thank you!
