Channel marker gets hit West Harbor at Catawba Is. and is currently a piece of I beam sticking out of the water about a foot. Notified the Coast Guard and they said they are aware of it . Doesn't seem like their in any big hurry to fix it. Hope no one hits it.

The beam is gone and now there's a fender tied to the base! Lol

At least someone took the effort and tied a fender to it...good for them

Im surprised it hasn't been hit more often, I used to see boats just miss them coming into the channel.

Not sure that will help.

Ouch! Now my knuckles are hurting.

And thank God she couldn't find her pointer. The round stick has less wind resistance than the yardstick with more mass allowing for sharper impact.

Oh this one. I was picturing the one mid channel.

I can see my old houses roof.
