360, 370, 380, 400, questions, which one?

That's worth between $5-10,000 right there, between transport costs, travel expenses to get to and from the boat plus your time...

I agree, BUT we’re talking $20k higher.

Im looking at a 1997 370 - $69,900
1999 380 $79,900
2002 360 $$97,000

And quite a bit newer, but that's asking price, correct? You won't know their real price until you negotiate an accepted offer. When I bought my 37' last summer, they came down 35k and made it a no brainer compared to the one asking 40k less.

All I'm saying, is transport costs are real and if it's a long distance, you increase the risk of damage.

Good luck on your purchase journey, it's always fun to be buying!

Yes those are asking prices, except for the 380 they’ve already came down $11k. But the 380 is the farthest away. It also has the hydraulic swim platform. They always say the best days of a boat owner are the day they buy and the day they sell lol

I'm on #7 so I must be a glutton for punishment!

And the prep to haul, then putting back together.... i really liked the 360 i looked at. extremely clean 2002, was asking 94k 2 years ago

Curious if the OP is looking at fresh or salt.

The 360 and 370 are fresh water

The 380 is all fresh except the last 4 years.

If you're freshwater, stick with a freshwater boat. My 33' spent its early years in salt and I had a few expenses come up I wouldn't have had if it were a freshwater boat.

IMHO the 370 is the best between the 360 and the 380, but I would say that since i have one. But there are quite a few differences between the early (95-97) 370’s and the last 370’s (98 and a few ‘99’s). At the end of the run ‘98/‘99, Sea Ray threw almost all the options at owners to make the sale. So upgraded finishes, ultra-leather, fuel injection engines, etc. Be sure to check out the 370sundancer.com site and you will see the differences between the different years.

The 400/410’s are an attractive lot, but you are talking bigger boats that definitely need diesels to move decently. For me, I like the 420, but it was beyond my reach at the time and I am very happy with my 370 for the last 15+ years.

We started out looking at the 330, and then were looking at 370s. All late 90's. We happened to be in florida for a weekend and found a 400 for about $15k more than the 370s we were looking at. More spacious overall, diesels, altogether a better boat for us than the 370. We would have liked the 370, but we LOVE the 400. No doubt we made the right decision.

Same Here. Started looking at 340's, then expanded to 340-380's and was hot on the train of a really nice 380 that got sold before I could make a move. Ended up with a 410.
