I have not done it, but I would guess it is a shark bite attached to faucet.
You can’t get to where the faucet leads attach to the boat plumbing at all in the Master and not enough to loosen them in the guest Bath. 4 1/2” hole saw and 5.5” round white panels off of Amazon seem to be the answer.

My boat is slightly different but before you cut the holes it might be worth going through the 154 pages in this thread to make sure someone has not fought through it already...

I’ve been through it a couple times over the past couple of years and don’t recall seeing access addressed, is there a post you are referring to?

I plan on replacing both faucets this winter and noticed the same issue but hadn't dug in much deeper yet.
QualityTime, attached are photos of galley sink replacement (simple) w/ a Delta faucet that lines up well, slight angle on the on/off lever for extra clearance w/ coffee door; and Guest sink faucet, w/ a $19 Moen from Costco, simple after cutting access hole. The problem is getting 2 hands and 2 wrenches in there to loosen and tighten the faucet fittings to the boat plumbing fittings. The pop-up drain that came w/ it is for overflow sink so I ordered separate vessel pop-up drain from Amazon that matches finish. Master will be next but will likely take 2 holes and very careful w/ the cut, going to be tight. Ordered round white 2-pack wall plates from Amazon for $7 to cover holes (can’t see them anyway). Hope this helps 43339F70-CF9F-4C36-8451-556185E53A60.jpeg CABF0EEF-DDBC-478E-9146-7A3B9263E366.jpeg CF7C9840-B396-4F41-A832-82466269C370.jpeg 35ADFA65-6F26-4037-8046-CE7244D46E71.jpeg 33B09147-35B6-4BA5-B9DF-5D308DD0570B.jpeg 87A63707-E526-45C0-98D3-A2C3DD0C5CD3.jpeg

I have not changed the faucet lines, but have changed a couple other water lines. They are PEX style water lines with Pex style fittings. The red and blue lines are most likely 15mm lines and most boat shops have that on their shelves. You can order it from any marine supplier. If you are not familiar with PEX, go to any big box hardware store and check out the fittings and how they work. If you have to cut them, couplers are cheap and reliable. I have found changing the whole section of line to the connector works best......assuming you can get to the line.

Maybe mine is different (2004DB) but my Pex lines for the faucets terminate w/ fittings for standard faucets to attach, so there’s no need to mess with the pex part that I can see. The issue is getting wrenches on the pex fitting (1” I think) and the standard faucet fitting (5/8”) at the same time. These are the bathroom faucets I am taking out (galley had same fitting). They are no different than what’s in your house. The issue is clearance. 4.5” hole in back of cabinet took care of that 5B58506F-4E80-4F6A-9620-6D48EBBA54C6.jpeg

Has anyone experience a change in the “clicking” noise when sliding the salon door? Mine seems to louder, I lubed to no avail, anyone have experience with the slider and know how the assembly works? Thanks`

Russ,

If it is like the 58's, there are four, dual wheel, trucks. Two on the bottom at the corners, and two at the top. There is a youtube video that shows how to adjust them here:

The 58 uses the top rollers in these pictures:

Hope this helps...

I just went through this clicking with my door. See my post and pictures under 50/52 DB from this weekend. It could be the Rod that catches the Stop and holds the door open. Mine was stripped and catching every screw at the top of the door.

I will PM you my cell if you want to chat about it

Have any of you replaced the port light screens in the guest cabin? The SR Parts Catalog number is (I think) 1331313 PORTLIGHT, SCREEN 3/8"X 7/8". If you replaced it, do you have a source? Thanks in advance.
Mike

Thanks, just changed the coolant with 50/50 and no more overheating problems. I think the guy before me had 100%
Robert - make sure you install a Fleetguard WF2072 filter every 200 hours as it has the anti-corrosion additive for the coolant.
The Cummins engines are not as sensitive to the type of coolant as Caterpillar (for example) but it should be Fleetguard ES Compleat or equivalent.

OK guys, I’ve been working on reading through this entire thread and just finished the last page (154 as of 07OCT20). I’ve been aboard many boats this summer, started leaning towards a 460DA, and then started leaning more towards a 44DA. I took my 360DA on a longish cruise up the Chesapeake Bay, when the Admiral noticed I was standing the entire time. The reflection (or glare) of the cream colored helm / dash made it nearly impossible to see the crab pot floats thru the glass, so I stood up the whole time. It was that day we (she) decided that we needed a sedan bridge and also accepted an offer on the 360DA.

The 360 is now gone, I sold it during the COVIDS seller’s market and now looking for a 480SD. My wife hates a “down” galley, and in our price range and the want to stay under 50’, only the 480 will work. Unfortunately it is still a seller’s market, and all the decent ones seem to be too much or already gone. (Yachtworld keeps sold boats listed as pending for quite a while it seems.)

I have done my utmost best to try to talk my wife out of the 480, been on a bunch of other bridge boats (Silvertons, Cruisers, etc.) but she is still stuck on the 480. Now I just got to find a decent one. These boats are in the 20 year range right now, so I feel like I need to look real hard to pick a winner.

QUESTIONS:

Any of you current owners know any of these other boats that are currently listed? My preference would be the motors in pretty good shape and the canvas and electronics in need of an upgrade or replacement so that I could customize to my personal liking. (I love the canvas that Brent Nutting put on his!)

Also, anybody hear from Gary (Four Suns) lately?

One other thing, I see a lot of engine room pics with a lot of white overspray. It makes me wonder what they were covering up. Is it just me? Don’t get me wrong, I paint stuff down below, I just try to paint between the lines!

SeaDagwVB, thanks for the compliment on our canvas, we really enjoy it.
Don't know of one in my area that I can personally speak to, but I would highly recommend trying to get one that has the air/ heat in the flybridge. Nice in the early spring or early fall, to warm the area or in the middle of summer, to cool it. We also really wanted the hydraulic lift, as we use our dinghy a lot.
We love the way the boat responds and is a pleasure to operate.
Good luck in your search.

Great boats, we're going on 7 years of ownership and know the boat inside and out. Catch me on the right day and I'd offer mine up but my wife usually brings me back to reality. Other than going bigger there is nothing else to gain as we have 3 staterooms, 2 heads, hydraulic platform, bridge air/heat and plenty of room for a family of four.

What year and engine packages are you targeting?

Kind of leaning towards the QSM engines (and associated years). I have a dockmate that has an earlier model with the 3196 motors and have learned a bit about the aftercooler issues. Also, If what I have gleaned from some posts on this thread and on the 460DA thread is true, the earlier years had balsa coring. I would guess that the 480SB upgraded to non-cored hulls about the same time the 460DAs did (2002?). I also like the look of the non-tucked upholstery on the newer models. (But that can be changed.)

When I bought my 360DA, I knew it wasn't my "last boat". In fact the Admiral and I called it our "interim boat", just to test the waters and the lifestyle. This boat we are considering it be our last boat. It seems pretty big to me.

Yes, the coring was changed around that time. Unfortunately, they left coring from the waterline down. Waterline to rubrail is solid though. All factory underwater penetrations have solid glass around them.

A/C at the helm is now a must, it was one of the deciding factors in moving out of the 360 (also the thirsty 8.1s). We have two rather long no-wake zones to pass thru in order to get to the Chesapeake Bay / Atlantic Ocean and that dark blue camper canvas top we had amplified it.

I'm trying not to get as anxious about being boatless as my wife currently is, she seems to want to look at any 480 available (even with no maintenance records (there are a few out there right now)). I will start getting a little nervous come springtime if we are still without a 480. We spent most of the summer trying to figure out what boat suited us the best, and like I said earlier, got on a lot of boats. By the time we figured it out, the inventory was depleted.
