Septic odor

Shaps,
Here is what I would do. I was in my sump last week and when I noticed the galley sink flow into the sump a little slow. I used my hand to plug it up in the sump so it would back up in the pipe. Held it for 2 minutes and then let go...OMG The crap that came out was unreal. So my plan is to get the flexible foam cone plug out and plug the hole in the sump, then dump bleach down the sink drain and fill the rest with water. Let it sit for a while and then unplug in the sump to drain. I am thinking the same for the shower drains. That will kill the stink in the pipes. Yes the toilet cake works but if the odor is in the pipe it won’t help.

I am totally on the same page. Tomorrow's project.. pouring bleach down each line while plugged..
Thanks Grant!

I would like to stick a hose with a high pressure sprayer up the hose from the sump to blast it clean. I am sure there is a ton of scum in them.

I use a wet dry vac and suck each inlet from inside the sump, yes there is a lot of muck that stays in the hoses. This way you get all the AC condensation drains cleaned as well.

Odor gone, thank goodness. Poured bleach down the shower drain lines, let it sit overnight then flushed all drains with the hose. All flowing clear with good volume. Thanks to everyone for their help!
