I'm trying to source out new serpentine belts for my 2008 Mercruiser 5.0 engines. I have the part number and went to NAPA and they want $144.00 a piece. Went to www.marineengine.com and they have them for $94.00 plus $8.95 shipping. Does anyone know of some place that is cheaper.

Thanks in advance for your help

So there is no material difference between the $144 Napa and an off the rack for $35?

you'll find out once you measure and cross reference it at NAPA but my old 5.7 mercruisers had a wonky length belt and my only choices were to pay $120 each or buy new pulleys (merc issued) for the PS pumps.

I found some new old stock and bought them all up, I didn't want to press the pulleys out

My 2007 350 MAG with BIII uses a 106 1/2” belt.
The gates belt of that length just didn’t fit properly. One size up and one size down couldn’t resolve the issue.

I ordered this belt from amazon and it’s a perfect fit. $33

As a general rule of thumb NEVER say that a part is for a boat unless there’s a gun to your head.

Price a spark plug at a marina if you don’t believe me.

;)

It costs a lot of money to print the words "marine" and "boat" on a part label. The pictures of generic boats are pricey too.
A belt is a belt-take it off and go to your local part store. Make sure the length and width along with rib count are the same.

I bought this one for my 07 350 magazine.
I bought it from a local auto supply for appx $40.00, NAPA wanted close to $100.00.
It's a tad smaller, but it fits just fine.

If the label is correct, that’s an 87” belt. Do you have a raw water pump?
Maybe your V-drive configuration uses a smaller belt?
106.5” is a common size for 5.0/5.7 with Bravo 3’s

I saw that. Mine is a vdrive, and I do have a raw water pump.
I don't know why they would be so different, but that's what fits mine. I kept it because I need to buy another one for the other engine.
They only had one when I bought it.

Thanks everyone. You have saved me several hundred dollars
