Hello, looking at a potential purchase of a new 320. Does anyone have any guidance on how much (generally) you can negotiate off of the listed dealer price?

thanks

The dealer cost of a new boat is typically 70% of the MSRP. I try to negotiate down to 80% of the MSRP, but never quite got there yet. One boat I purchased for 84% of MSRP and one boat I purchased for 82% of MSRP. It really just depends on how well the boats are selling and how much the dealer wants to make the sale.

I bought a new Sea Ray for about 65% of MSRP. But it was when Sea Ray was offering incentives, the boat was in the dealer's inventory, and they were offering incentives to clear it off their books at the end of their fiscal year.

My other new boat typically sold for 5%-10% of MSRP, so there is quite a bit of variation.

I'd guess that right now there are fewer discounts available due to the higher demand and lower inventory.

Shoot...from what I see the boating market is on fire right now. I'd expect a bidding war, 105% MSRP :):)
