I'm thinking Small Craft Warnings on the river are much different than on Lake Michigan.
Heck when Lake Erie water temp is 60 we've already been swimming in the month a May.
That was in the protected area of the marina. Whitecaps out on the river just ahead of the front that came in yesterdayWhat bothered me was the age of the kids, the amount of folks on a two person ski, and a father with no life jacket.

I have a hard time getting worked up about that. The picture looks pretty calm, and water temps in the 60s have a long survivability time. 4 people on a 3 person PWC, ok. Yeah, not ideal.

We were at our marina last night for a party. Our whole river is no wake until you get to the Ohio River. Boat comes in hot on plane past or marina about 15' away from the few boats left on C dock and they were bouncing around hard. A few on shore were yelling at the guy. Well he turns and comes into our marina. Turns out its a guy from our marina. Figuring there was an emergency a few people yelled down asking if he needed help. He said nope, he was fine. So one person yelled down and said you know this is all no wake? He said he was afraid he was going to run out of gas??? Geeezzzz.

This happened late August about 60 miles from me on the WI River. The driver got out of his boat, walked away towing his beer cooler on wheels. It happened on Sunday, he was arrested the next day.
