Official 370 Sundancer thread

No gasket on a 98 either. It's a wet locker, with a drain hole in the middle. I've had to redo that decking from water intrusion via the screw holes that hold the aft coaming locker down to that deck.

Plan is to cruise, Current WOT rpm is 4960 and 4860 for port and stbd respectively or right around there. I just saw a lot of chat about the 4 blades helping with around the dock and slow speed as well as cruise.

I also saw they were getting around 4400 wot with 18 x 20's 4 blade. If I am going to get a new set of props either way, I am going to go with the ones to get me the most efficient cruise realistically.

Just curious if its worth it to go with 4 blades over the 18x22 if I am going to grab a new set.

Want to bump this for any input or anyone running 380 horizons with 4 blades in the 370?

I've read and gotten a lot a very valuable information on this thread. I'd like to buy 370Dancer and Rubber duckie and others a cold beverage one day for their contributions. If either are ever around Lake Martin, Alabama give me a shout! After taking the time to read, there are a lot of answers to question that I would have to have asked or posted, so thanks.

I have this accessory mounted on the the side of the 96 370 that I'm not sure what is... any idea's?

Clearly not standard equipment. It looks like a hold-down clip of some sort. May be to hold the electrical or cable cord onto the side of the boat? OR something o do with the canvas?

Thanks for the shout out. This is no labor for me. I started on the precursor to this site in the search or a new boat. This place started out just as I bought my 370 so many years ago. I am still in love with this boat and will rue the day I have to give it up.

Careful what you offer though. I do a fair amount of traveling related to my profession and might well end up on your doorstep.

Possibly a fender clip.

I'm about to. Just stole a spare set off a 40 sedan bridge. Might be a bit to big (22) but we're mostly a tug boat these days. If I get in a hurry, I get in a jet.

I'm in Huntsville this week and a bit of next week, then back home. Come to Ditto Landing. We'll be around, on the Carver.

Yes...that's an issue with a 95. I simply drain into the compartment and shop vac it out. No ther way to do it. And you have to drain it!

Hello all! Just purchased a '95 370 this summer and it's time to winterize. Could anyone give me an estimated amount of antifreeze needed to take care of engines, genny, ac, and water system? Trying to gather up all needed items for this weekend. Previous boat was a '85 340 EC so I'm sure I'll need more but not sure how much.

As always thanks to all for your input/information. Greatly appreciated.

I seem to get by with two cases of Pink (12 gallons) between the engines, water system and A/C and a little in the head mixed with a little SaltAway. Antifreeze in the engines (coolant) is untouched except a refresh every couple of years.

Thanks. I guess the 20 gallons should cover it. The fun is about to begin.

Hi all. Just replaced the windshield vent gaskets with approx 1' on each side & 2' alone the bottom, with the Taylor Made gasket 835200 - picture attached.

I'd ordered 5' of the gasket @ $8/LF plus shipping and handling but for some reason they sent me a lot more, probably enough for 2 boats at 4 1/2 feet each. If someone is looking to replace their windshield vent gaskets I'll share what I have left for a few dollars plus shipping cost. If interested, email me at fpinol@tampabay.rr.com.

I am interested if you still have the extra and will email you now.

Does anyone else have trouble bleeding the air from the cooling system on the starboard engine due to the heated helm blower/vents?
I was considering adding a valve since its the hugh point of the system, but curious if anyone else has a simple solution.

Bottom Blasting

So I've owned my 370 now long enough that it is probably time to get the bottom blasted and strip off the old bottom paint. Since I've had Rubber Duckee, I've only used ablative paint, so most of it wears off every year with use, but not all of it. No final decision yet, but it will occur soon. Have others done this and what process have you followed for putting new paint on? Do I need an epoxy barrier coat? Experiences - good or bad would be helpful. Thanks!

I have a 1995 with the B&G equipment. SOmeone installed a standard horizon gps chart plotter but I can't get anything else to work. I turn on the network unit and it doesn't respond so I press some buttons and then it comes on and flashes some error and beeps so I just have to shut it off. What I really want is auto pilot to work. I can't even turn on the display that shows depth/speed so I'm hoping this "newer" chartplotter didn't disable the whole network of things.

So is there a way to get autopilot going ? I will take a video of what happens when I turn on the B&G stuff and maybe that will help but maybe this system needs gps/speed for the autopilt to work and it may be a lost cause. Any info on how the whole system works I'd appreciate. This is the beginning of me trying to troubleshoot this.

Can you tell me where you ordered the gaskets from?
