Quicken has made a significant change in the method they use to host automated bill payments. I've been using Quicken and their bill pay service for over 20 years. They made a change and it's not working out very well for me.
Anyone else having issues? Or is this just me?

Ever since Intuit sold them, I have found most features do not work as well. Seems like I have more lockups, etc. Seem to remember it was much cheaper before as well... I use my bank to make my payments though, not Quicken.

Like Carter, I use my bank's bill pay service directly. I only use Quicken for my internal bookkeeping. I do link to my accounts and get a updates of my investments and my banks, mortgage & credit cards. Gives me a place to see all my finances at once.

I’ve used quicken for 5-6 years. I use my bank for auto bill pay and I haven’t noticed any other glitches. I feel since they sold it, it’s easier to use and the UI is friendlier on the eyes. Just my opinion tho..

I have been using it for over 20 years. I have a bit of a data security paranoia and so I don't use the linked banking features at all. I used to use the "one step update" feature a few versions back and it was so glitchy that I stopped using all of those features. I manually download banking transactions from the bank and then import them to Quicken. Last think I want is some hacker getting into my banking details via hacking quicken.

Did you know that all a criminal needs is your bank account and transit info to set up a fake auto payment withdrawal? There are ways for them to do that, and then you may have to prove to your bank that you were hacked and it was not your fault (read the fine print on your banking terms and conditions). Our bank was good about it -- eventually. But for a while I thought I was out a lot of money that magically disappeared via auto withdrawal transactions. Not blaming Quicken at all. In fact it was because I download to Quicken that we caught it pretty quickly. Just made me ultra careful.

I started using Quickenn n the early 1990's. Like others have said, I only use it for my own accounting, not paying any bills. I use the bank for that.
