Miami Boat Show Cancelled for 2021

Darn. Do you think there will be any online deals? I always buy electronics and it's around a 30% discount. Looking to get a Garmin 7608 this year.

I wonder if they waited to see how many people showed up at FLIBS before making the final announcement.

Have not seen any mention of FLIBS on CSR, not sure if anyone is going.

Just because there's no physical boat show doesn't mean the electronics manufacturers can't/won't discount their products.

Make sure you're signed up for their emails/follow their social media, I'm sure you'll see the usual rebate programs. (In fact, they could even be more generous now that they're not spending several thousands on show space, booth assembly, travel, etc.)

I was thinking about it - but the timing didn't work out for me this year - decided to do Miami instead.......oh well, i'll be down there anyway - I wonder if palm beach is still on for March?

I just took a look at FLIBS' social media properties, and while there are two sides to every story, there seem to be a lot of folks disappointed with the show and its $55 ticket.

Seems that there is undoubtedly a reduction in exhibitors, and from what I can gather, the more "affordable" boats and vendors are lacking.

I'm sure the row of superyachts are still there (in fact I can see them on AIS), and from photos it seems the bigger European brands are on display, but if you're after a 20'-30' center console or cruiser, it might not be the place for you.

I've never paid for FLIBS entry thanks to my broker, but I feel like $55 was the price last year with a full show.

Tickets are $35 and free parking at the galleria mall.
I’ll go Sunday if the weather nice.

We got in last night. Spent the last two days looking at Marlow and Nordhavn. We have never been to the show and since everything else in '21 is canceled I guess I am happy we are here.

Lots of quality traffic at FLIBS this year,, NMMA is being very cautious possible Insurance is making the decision easier
As a person in the business that has attended 25Plus years in a row FLIBS and MIBS this has been a strange year
you will still see super deals on boating items and electronics... black friday should be good this year.

I agree.

The exhibitors will still want to sell product, show or not.

I daresay I begrudgingly have attended a few shows to get the rebate form stamped for the extra $200 off; in most cases, I would have much rather received the same discount while sitting in my PJs at home on the laptop. :D

The brokers are playing it like it was a super show and sales, sales, sale....I'd sure like to know what's the true story....

Are people still spending like there is no tomorrow?
I’m personally looking for a Back Cove 37. They are in short supply on the used market, along with the 41. I talked to my dealer about a new one; their first available slot was for delivery in August 2021. The factory is going full-tilt.

That would be awesome. I’m likely to be looking for a Garmin 8616.
